lyrics
Rise up at dawn
Staring holes of fire at the sun
Cause I can’t help but think a flame might spark from nothing
From a telepathic mind I could tell you everything I find here
Surges in the wake start from nowhere
You said just wake up
It can’t be so bad in here, no
Days they fade out
To keep hiding in the dark from
Been dead for days
With a blood fueled body in place
And I know I’m the one to blame for what we’re stuck in
When you’ve gone through every motion you should know how to ride the lows in
Ripples fade away to glide off somewhere
You said just wake up
It can’t be so bad in here, no
Days they fade out
To keep hiding in the dark from
Yeah I heard about all the things out there that I left undone
Days they fade out
To keep hiding in the dark from

This might be the tightest "indie garage pop-tending-rock" album I know of.
Arrangements are top notch.
Correcting a glaring omission in my collection here by buying the Beths albums while it's still _just_ NZ Music Month!
What an opening track!
Jump Rope Gazers and Don't Go Away - instrumentation is outstanding on both tracks - tough choice, any one makes for a worthy choice as fave track. theUtmost

A concise little EP on a barebones vinyl. This album touched me very differently than their previous works; I was in a different space, but it also doesn't seem to lean so heavily on ideas about relationships, breakups, and loneliness (returning to those notably in a cover of Cher's "Believe" as the closing track). Guest Room, the title track, deals with death, aging, and adult responsibilities, which are ideas much more close to me. Jamming Device
Max Goldstein makes "acoustic" music that is a unique mix of guitar, experimental electronics, and percussion. Make indie rock weird again. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 25, 2021
Aussie upstarts juxtapose tightly-wound post punk songwriting with nuanced production, jangling choruses, and heady jams. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 29, 2023
St. Louis DIY stalwarts Shady Bug's latest EP is languid, low-key indie rock that combines warm dream pop tones with alt-rock crunch. Bandcamp New & Notable May 11, 2023

So Kiwi it hurts. In a fantastic, life-affirming, charming, self-deprecating manner, replete with self-aware ironic smile tugging at the corner of the mouth.
I love the timing & key changes. Top notch indie jangly guitar-pop tending rock.
Hooked.
"I Want to Listen" , and "Change in the Weather" Liz channels Anna Burch and manages to upstage her.
I'm off to mix some drinks with my messages, then I might pin some hopes to the wrong pincushion! ❤ theUtmost
